May be mixed with water or milk. Can interfere with the absorption of iron, benzodiazepines, digoxin, phenytoin and tetracyclines, quinolones and chloroquine. May have laxative effect and cause hypokalemia. Use with caution in renal insufficiency (due to Mg component) and gastric outlet obstruction.
